Dr. Mark Eckler
Orthodontics has afforded me a meaningful career where I can work hands on with such a wonderful variety of people. Enhancing self-confidence in people of all ages and seeing the fruit of your labour in their smiles has been more rewarding than I could have ever imagined when I began more than 20 years ago. I love spending my days providing patients with great orthodontic treatment that will make them smile, laugh, and improve their oral health throughout their lifetime.
I received my dental education at the University of Western Ontario School of Dentistry, where I graduated in 1993. I attended McGill University Multi-Disciplinary Residency Program before continuing on to the St. Louis University's Graduate Orthodontic Program in 1997.
As the son of a certified orthodontist with more than 40 years of experience, I leaned from a young age that experience and reputation are keys to earning your patients’ trust. I cherished the opportunity that I had to work with my father and learn from his expertise in clinical care and relationship building. These are skills I hope to share with future generations of orthodontists.
Sharing my knowledge and experience with the dental community makes me excited to learn and passionate about what I do. In addition to lecturing on customer service to the Ontario Dental Association and Halton Peel Dental Association, I am an active member with several Dental and Orthodontic Colleges, Academies and Associations.
My wife Sharon and I have two amazing daughters, Jaime and Alexandra, who are most precious and, like the parents of our younger patients, we'd do anything for them! We also have a dog, Izzy, who was rescued and has become a very important part of our family.
When I’m not focused on my family, I enjoy jogging, skiing, and golfing, as well as being my daughters’ personal Uber driver.
