Drs. Eckler and Black and the Smile Orthodontic Team offers the following services

Braces
There are many options for braces. There are metal braces, clear braces(tooth coloured braces, and "invisable braces" which include: Invisalign and Lingual braces (braces from behind the teeth).

All three of these options are available in our office and they all take about the same length of time for treatment.

With metal braces, you can put colours on them and you can change the colours every visit. You can also choose to stay with the stainless steel colour.

Clear braces (tooth coloured braces) are a popular choice for those patients who do not want their braces to be as visible as the standard metal braces.

Invisalign is the newest addition to orthodontic treatment. It consists of clear plastic (practically invisible) removable retainers that are used just like braces to straighten the teeth. For those patients who do not want to wear braces, they may be a candidate for this method of treatment or you can ask us about braces from behind your teeth (Lingual braces).

Whatever you desire, we have a solution that meets your needs to help you get a beautiful, healthy smile to last you a lifetime!

Retainers
Every patient after orthodontic treatment is given retainers. We offer both removable and permanent invisible retainers that will help you maintain your smile for your lifetime.

Treatment Time
The average time in braces or retainers is between 1 1/2 to 2 years with a visit every 6-12 weeks. But the time can vary depending upon your unique treatment. Contact us to find out the different treatment options available to you.

INVISALIGN® treatment systems
Q. Is Invisalign truly invisible?

A. Yes, even when very close, no one will know you are wearing anything on your teeth - they are truly invisible braces.

Q. How often do I change to a new Invisalign aligner?

A. About every two to three weeks, you change to a new aligner, but your office visits will be only about every 8 to 12 weeks.

Q. How long does the Invisalign system take to move the teeth?

A. Most treatment will take between 12 and 24 months, but some treatments could take less or more time.

Q. Does Invisalign cost more than regular braces?

A. Costs can vary depending upon the severity of your treatment. But with our flexible, interest-free payment plans, treatment is still very affordable.

Q. The Invisalign invisible braces (aligners) seem to be plastic. Why can they cost more than braces?

A. All of the aligners are made in a laboratory using the latest computer CAD CAM design. This does add specific lab costs to treatment that are not required with standard braces (Lab costs are included in you total fee).

Q. Is Invisalign treatment just for adults?

A. NO. A patient must have all of their adult teeth and must be willing to wear the removeable aligners except while eating.

Q. Can Invisalign treat all of the problems that braces can?

A. Although it cannot treat every orthodontic situation, many common issues such as crooked teeth or crowded teeth, spaces between teeth, and certain overbite types can be successfully treated with invisalign.

Q. If I have insurance, will it pay for Invisalign braces?

A. Yes, insurance plans cover this treatment method.

Q. How do I find out if I can receive treatment with the invisible Invisalign systems and what it would cost?

A. Contact us for a free exam at any of our offices.
